About The Role
As a Senior Equipment Service Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting Meat and Dairy customers across the EMEA region by providing timely on-site equipment service to ensure optimal performance of packaging equipment and materials.
This exciting role supports the expansion of the Amcor Moda equipment range into EMEA and offers a high level of autonomy within a dynamic, customer-facing environment.
The position involves frequent travel (up to 70%) and combines hands‑on equipment installation, technical troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
Customer & Technical Support
- Provide timely on‑site and remote technical support to customers
- Work hands‑on alongside customer teams on production lines
- Diagnose and resolve equipment, material, and product interaction issues
- Service Amcor Moda equipment to sustain optimal performance. Recommend spare parts as needed.
- Build and maintain strong, effective customer relationships
- Deliver clear, detailed service reports, including accurate time tracking
- Collaborate closely with Field Technical Service team and spare parts representatives
Equipment Installation
- Support the installation and commissioning of Amcor Moda equipment at customer sites
- Monitor equipment performance and provide intensified support during start‑up phases, as required
Training
- Deliver customer training on the correct operation and maintenance of equipment
- Train and mentor other Equipment Service and Field Technical Service team members
What You Bring
- Engineering qualification or equivalent experience in electrical and/or mechanical technology
- Min. 3-5 years’ experience in the Meat and Dairy packaging industry (machinery and materials), preferably in shrink packaging equipment (e.g. rotary vacuum chamber).
- High flexibility to travel up to 70% across Europe, UK and MEA (car, train, air)
- Openness to flexible hours. The role will likely include working weekends and non‑standard working hours to support our Customers and Business needs.
- Current, preferably clean, driving licence
- This role involves maintenance activities on Amcor Moda equipment, consisting of hands‑on manual work, the safe use of power tools, and the ability to carry out physical tasks, including occasional lifting and moving of heavy materials.
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent communication skills with a customer‑focused mindset
- Hands‑on, pragmatic mindset
- Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a high level of rigour
- Fluent in English, additional European languages are an advantage
- Strong commitment to safety
