Job Purpose
As the R&D Dispensing Systems Expert, you will play a pivotal role at the forefront of innovation within the R&D Dispensing Expert Center of the Global Rigid Business. You will shape the technical strategy and execution of dispensing platforms, working across H2/H3 development projects with the freedom to design both the product and its manufacturing concept. You will join a highly specialized, global team of 5 researchers located in Europe, driving innovation across Healthcare, Homecare, Food, Beverage, Beauty, and Wellness. The team’s mission is to deliver cutting‑edge dispensing solutions that balance performance, cost efficiency, and sustainability, while accelerating the path from concept to industrialization. This role drives front‑end innovation, from defining roadmaps and validating designs to ensuring smooth handover to development centers. You’ll transform market needs and sustainability goals into high-performing dispensing solutions, with significant autonomy and impact, and the opportunity to advance your career within the world’s largest plastic packaging supplier.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead early‑stage R&D dispensing systems development: Define project roadmaps, feasibility, and validation plans for H2/H3 dispensing solutions. Ensure smooth handover to development centers for industrialization.
- Drive technical excellence and innovation: Develop injection‑molded dispensing concepts with focus on performance, cost, and sustainability. Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to improve designs.
- Collaborate across teams and geographies: Work closely with sales, manufacturing sites, and cross‑functional R&D teams. Build relationships with external partners, including research institutions and technology providers.
- Support strategic planning and resource management: Assist in defining deliverables, budgets, and resource allocation for dispensing system projects. Prepare technical reports, proposals, and presentations for senior management.
Role Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or similar.
- Strong, hands‑on expertise in dispensing systems and injection molding.
- Structured, results‑oriented, and comfortable with ambiguity in early innovation phases.
- Strong communication skills in English (German or French is a plus).
- Collaborative mindset with the confidence to challenge, propose, and decide.
