Principal Accountabilities

  • Ensure a culture of Right First Time quality is promoted within the site and that all customer requirements are met during the manufacturing process.
  • Carry out quality control testing on production orders quickly and accurately.
  • Carry out quality checks and process confirmations on active production to ensure compliance with all process parameters and requirements.
  • Take responsibility for decisions around releasing product to customers and guide production operators in quality based decision making.
  • Management of retained samples and technical administration of data.
  • Work closely with wider quality team to communicate details of failures and assist in investigations.
  • Actively participate in the internal audit process.
  • Carry out the calibration of testing equipment.
  • Raise certificates of analysis (CoA) and communicate results with customer.
  • Assist with general quality & technical enquiries.
  • Work with Operations and Planning teams to aid the efficient running of production.

This list is not exhaustive but represents the main responsibilities of the role. In addition to the above, the job holder is expected to undertake any task as directed by his/her line manager that could be reasonably expected within the remit described and is within his/her capability.

Education, Qualifications & Experience

  • A-level qualifications with a focus on science, technology or engineering subjects.
  • Experience within a scientific, laboratory or QC testing environment preferred.
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience carrying out audits and process checks beneficial but not expected.
  • Ability to assist in quality investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
