About The Role
Amcor is embarking on a major global HR technology transformation to build a more connected, efficient, and empowered organization. As part of our Global People Technology team, you will lead the day‐to‐day project management and coordination of our Workday implementation – ensuring that each phase of the program delivers measurable improvements in efficiency, transparency, and employee experience. You will orchestrate multiple workstreams, drive governance and stakeholder alignment, and proactively manage risks and dependencies across global teams. This is a high‐impact and visible role, part of a two‐year global program that will transform Amcor's HR landscape. You'll gain exposure to global leadership, complex stakeholder management, and enterprise‐scale project delivery – experience that will open future career opportunities within Amcor.
Key Job Accountabilities
- Leading the daily coordination, planning, and tracking of Amcor's global Workday implementation, ensuring effective progress and alignment across all project phases.
- Owning and maintaining the integrated project plan, timeline, and Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies (RAID) log to ensure timely and high‐quality delivery.
- Coordinating internal functional and technical workstreams, regional teams, and the external system integrator to achieve seamless execution and collaboration.
- Supporting governance and reporting to program leadership, including proactive risk management, issue resolution, and decision tracking to keep leadership informed.
- Managing project scope, schedule, and budget control processes in line with Amcor's standards, ensuring discipline, control and transparency.
- Maintaining project documentation and supporting cutover, testing, and deployment readiness activities.
- Facilitating effective communication and collaboration across HR, IT, and regional stakeholders to ensure alignment on priorities, progress, and outcomes.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Information Systems, Human Resources, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in project management of large‐scale IT or digital HR transformation programs within global organizations.
- Proven track record in Workday implementation (preferred) or other cloud HR systems (e.g., SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM).
- Experience coordinating multiple workstreams and vendors across regions and time zones.
- Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) preferred.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills at all organizational levels.
- Solid understanding of HR processes, integrations, and data management.
- Occasional international travel may be required during key project phases.
