About The Role
The IT Business Relationship Manager (BRM) serves as the strategic bridge between business functions and the Rigids Packaging Solutions International (RPSI) Business Group for all IT-related matters. Acting as the single point of accountability for IT within your assigned business areas, you will shape demand, define technology strategies, and ensure the delivery of solutions that generate measurable business value. The Business Relationship Manager provides leadership, ownership and accountability for the relationship between the customer groups' organizations and IT.
As a BRM, you will shape business demand and define solution concepts, serving as the single contact point for leaders in the supported functions. This role includes working directly with your stakeholder groups and IT Leadership teams to set strategy and to formulate and drive solutions, while communicating direction, status and options. The BRM will capture requirements, analyze and provide high-level solution designs, advancing new capability/functionality for the functions that you will support. The role closely collaborates and partners with other IT teams to deliver creative, high quality and innovative business solutions and ensure operational continuity and value realization.
Key Job Accountabilities:
- Building relationships with business leaders and addressing business needs with technology thinking to maintain stable platforms and deliver business value.
- The role involves a lot of facilitation and change management such as smoothing the adoption of new technology-based solutions by business users.
- Strategic decision making and successful influencing on leadership level.
- Support the implementation of ERP and other systems.
- Continuously look out for cost saving opportunities or strategic IT investments that help the business grow their top or bottom line.
- Share knowledge with other BG's and regions to promote and nurture synergies across Amcor; prepare monthly status reports.
- Works with internal and/or external stakeholders as a thought leader to align technology solutions with business strategies including review submissions for Group IT applications supporting the Business Groups in RPSI BG and EMEA region.
- Participates in short- and long-term strategic planning sessions with clients to improve business processes.
- Identify, articulate and quantify business demand. Translate it into IT Service requests or IT projects (convert business requirements into IT specifications).
- Leads prioritization of IT initiatives based on business needs and strategic priorities, IT workload and budget.
- Promotes business stakeholders' knowledge of IT processes, roles, and procedures to ensure the effective use of available IT solutions and the best possible outcome.
- May lead, mentor, and manage staff to optimize performance. Assess technical skills, identify training needs and opportunities, and ensure that required materials and tools are available for direct reports to perform their job responsibilities.
- Participation in IT and business transformation projects as team member or steering committee.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Relevant and adequate education credentials, IT management, and manufacturing industry experience.
- Significant IT general management experience, backed by in-depth experience in key IT disciplines, such as in enterprise systems end-to-end delivery, consulting practice or business development leadership, transformation or operational leadership experience.
- Proven track record of delivering complex projects on-time with limited resources.
- Travel requirements: this role is also expected to travel to the sites and head offices in Zurich and Barcelona, as required.
- Combination of strong technology skills and business acumen.
- Ability to think strategically and communicate with all levels of management.
- Agility, sound judgment, independent thinking, follow-through, and initiative.
- Effective team builder. Experience motivating cross-functional teams.
