- To ensure materials and packaging requirements are readily available to production to ensure work is carriedout effectively, efficiently and to the Company and Customer standards at all times.
Responsibilities
- Blending materials.
- Preparing satellite hoppers for production requirements.
- Stock control of colours and base materials to and returned from production.
- Controlling packaging requirements to production.
- Grinding recycled products from redundant stock and decoration.
- Control Silo deliveries in the absence of the Materials Supervisor.
- Carry out administration and reporting as necessary.
- Ensure that all materials, colours and packaging areas are clean, tidy and safe.
- Comply with quality standards as set by the Company.
- Adhere to stated policies and procedures relating to: health and safety, quality and environment management.
- Any other reasonable tasks requested by management.
- Being proactive and having a methodical approach to daily tasks
Person Specification
- The ability to work on ones own initiative to achieve objectives and taking responsibility for work /actions undertaken
- The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Confident in challenging existing practices and looking for continuous improvement in all areas of work
- Is able to work effectively as part of a team to achieve team objectives
- Able to respond positively to changing work demands
- Takes decisive action to address and react to opportunities and problems in day to day work
- Is conscientious and thorough in all aspects of work responsibilities, and has a professional approach to work
- Double checks accuracy of own work
- Wants to give a good service, recognising the importance of customer satisfaction in their own work.
- Good numerical skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to undertake duties in every respect as laid out in the job description (further to training if required)
- Forklift license would be an advantage but not essential
- Proven experience working in a fast moving production environment
- Proven experience working with materials would be an advantage.
