Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Standards: Establish quality policies, procedures, and standards, aligning with customer needs and legal requirements.
  • Process Control: Implement and monitor quality control tests, inspect products at various stages, and oversee production processes.
  • Data & Reporting: Collect and analyse quality data, create statistical reports, and report findings to senior management.
  • Improvement: Lead CI initiatives (like Six Sigma), identify weaknesses, and implement changes to boost efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Team Leadership: Train staff on quality standards, manage quality teams, and foster a quality-focused culture.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Work with purchasing, suppliers, other departments, and customers to resolve issues and ensure compliance.

Qualifications

Ideally educated to a bachelor’s degree in a related field with strong leadership, analytical, problem solving, communication, attention to detail and data analysis. Candidates should also be confident in the use of Microsoft Office applications like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Excellent knowledge of industry standards, quality systems (ISO 900, 14001 & Recyclass certification).
