Overview
About the role: Joining a successful, highly motivated purchasing team, procuring a wide range of products and services for Amcor's Beccles flagship site. Engaging with departments and stakeholders in delivering site projects, operational targets and maintenance schedules. Assisting in the running and development of the team and strengthening a recognised vendor management system.
Hours: 39 hrs per week Monday - Thursday 8.00 to 17.00, Friday 8.00 to 16.00.
Key Job Accountabilities
- Place Purchase Orders for goods and services in a timely manner
- Negotiate with Suppliers to provide best value solutions for the business
- Understanding contractual obligations and Incoterms
- Develop and aid team learning for best practices
- Managing supplier relationships and monitoring performance
- Deputise for the Purchasing Manager
- Support Goods in team

Qualifications/Requirements
- CIPS level 4
- 5 years experience working in a busy purchasing environment
- 5 GCSEs (A-C or equivalent) and educated to A level standard
- Demonstrate a high level of drive and initiative
- Remain calm under pressure and be a decision maker
- Computer literacy
