About the role

The role of the site electrician is to work within the site maintenance team at the Beccles site, looking after electrical infrastructure.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, Double day shifts, 6am to 2pm and 2pm to 10pm.

Key Job Accountabilities

  • Installation of new circuits to planned timelines.
  • Minor works to existing circuits to planned timelines.
  • Testing and documentation relevant to the works (minor or Full works).
  • Diagnosing faults and putting forward improvement suggestions to improve circuits and undertaking improvements as required.
  • Electrical loading data for growth of departments.
  • Ensuring all duties are carried out in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Ensuring all duties are carried out in accordance with current Electrical legislation and company procedures, particularly relating to health and safety, quality and environment management.
  • Ensure that your work area is kept safe, clean and tidy.
  • Carry out tasks as requested by line manager, which the jobholder can complete in a safe and competent manner.
  • Working alongside contractors on site. (PAT testing, Thermographic, Guardian, HV).
  • Working alongside HV Contractors in Substations / Transformers.
  • Compliance works across site. (Also include Audits).

Skills/Experience

  • A logical and methodical approach to fault findings.
  • Good written and communication skills.

  • Conscientious and thorough in all aspects of work responsibilities.

  • The ability to work under pressure, remaining calm and in control with the capacity to meet tight deadlines.

Industry Experience / Qualifications

  • H/V 11KV experience.
  • Preferred test and inspection 2391 experience.
  • 17/18 edition city and guilds.
  • Strong technical skills in electrician installations.
