The predicted salary is between 25000 - 30000 £ per year.
The key objective of the Basic Extrusion Operator role is to ensure all safety requirements (PPE) and quality standards (ISO, BRC) are followed and adhered to. This role enables the production of material in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining product quality.
Working period of a 12-hour shift pattern.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Work in line with the extrusion production targets (KPIs) and sustain the department's objectives of safety, quality, hygiene, and 6S housekeeping.
- Record accurate machine product recipe data.
- Record accurate machine production data.
- Conduct quality checks at specified frequencies and record results.
- Adhere to product quality standards.
- Ensure correct reel palletisation and quantities, with data captured for the next customer.
- Carry out all work in a safe and proper manner following company PPE requirements.
- Identify and highlight quality concerns when necessary with the shift group leader/OSM.
- Assist maintenance when required.
TECHNICAL
- Highlight and deal with quality and hygiene issues appropriately.
- Ensure area targets and objectives are met - safety, quality, hygiene, waste, productivity, utilisation, and costs.
- Highlight temporary fixes on machinery and find long-term solutions.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects.
- Identify and learn troubleshooting skills.
- Recommend areas for improvement.
