The key objective of the Print Slitter Operator role is to ensure that production is in line with schedule and produced in a safe and efficient manner.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Direct reporting to the Print Supervisor.
- Comply with all company policies, site rules and procedures.
- Comply with the company dress code and strictly adhere to personal protective equipment requirements at all times.
- Comply with all BRC rules and regulations.
- Be at your place of work at the specified shift start times.
- Leave your place of work at the specified shift end times.
- Select film in accordance with the job specification.
- Carry out job set-up in a safe and efficient manner.
- Record all product movement on/off machine in a detailed manner, including correct time recording and product identification.
- Monitor machine operation and problem solve where necessary.
- Label finished product as per job order instructions.
- Ensure accurate dyne checks are made during each run.
- Palletise product in accordance with internal and export requirements.
- Keep machine and surrounding area safe, clean and tidy.
- Other tasks as assigned.
TECHNICAL
- All safety related issues are reported immediately.
- Quality and hygiene issues are highlighted.
- Area targets and objectives are met - safety, quality, hygiene, waste, productivity, utilisation and costs.
- Temporary fixes on machinery are highlighted, and long-term solutions found.
- The correct labels are used on the reels and cores.
- Any defective material is highlighted by use of a pink ticket.
- Blue flags are placed on the film when the treatment is missing.
- Consistent adherence to HR policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
