TEMPORARY PRODUCTION OPERATORS
Vacancies have arisen for Temporary Production Operators in the Service and Slitting functions in the AmCell department for 6 months. The successful applicants will work in the AmCell department at Amcor Flexibles Cumbria as Temporary Production Service or Slitting Operators, reporting to the FLM. The post holders will be required, with appropriate training and competence, to work in the AmCell department, ensuring the production area has sufficient materials and space to work safely, continuously and efficiently.
The role of the Temporary Production Service Operator is to ensure relevant non-production areas are used efficiently and maintained in a safe and tidy manner. FLT operation is a key part of this role. Slitting Operators will operate a slitting machine as part of the Slit / Lamination team. This is working the AmCell 7-day shift pattern, which includes a combination of days, nights, and weekend working.
The candidate should show demonstrable experience in the following key areas:
- FLT & Powered Pallet Truck
- Manual Handling
- Working safely ensuring work is completed in a safe manner, following all SSWs and Safety Policies.
- Team Working
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Good organisation and prioritisation skills
- Good standard of literacy and numeracy
- IT Skills (Microsoft Office)
- Experience of accessing electronic information
- Prior experience in a Warehouse or Logistics or factory environment
- Prior experience of FLT driving or operation of slitting machinery is desired but not essential as full training will be provided.
