Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday - Friday, 2pm - 10pm) About AMCO An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Traffic Controller / Banksman to join AMCO's Transport department in Redditch.

AMCO is a £60m-turnover, Redditch-based global logistics specialist operating across four sites and providing supply chain solutions worldwide by road, sea, air and rail.

We work across a wide range of industries, including electronics, food and industrial, with specialist expertise in automotive parts logistics and close working relationships with luxury vehicle manufacturers.

The Role As Traffic Controller / Banksman, you will support the safe, efficient and compliant running of the Transport operation.

You will work closely with drivers, customers and the wider transport team, acting as a key point of contact for day-to-day operational matters.

  • Traffic & Transport Operations
  • Design, lay out and manage safe on-site traffic systems, including vehicle routes, speed limits and parking/loading areas.
  • Direct HGVs, lorries, cranes and other plant machinery, particularly during reversing and other complex manoeuvres.
  • Ensure driver arrival and departure procedures are followed.
  • Monitor site entrances and exits, including vehicle gatehouse checks and auditing processes.
  • Act as the first point of escalation for the Transport Office, Goods In and Warehouse.
  • Support the Senior team member with the day-to-day running of the department and driver team.
  • Support the running of all AMCO UK Transport contracts.
  • Track transport through Webfleet and arrange agency driver cover where required.
  • Provide holiday cover as needed. Compliance, Vehicles & KPIs
  • Ensure vehicles and trailers are presented on time for maintenance and servicing.
  • Log and action vehicle and trailer damages and defects.
  • Support the Head of Compliance to ensure staff, vehicles and trailers remain compliant.
  • Maintain and update the individual training matrix with the Line Manager.
  • Ensure internal, external, customer and departmental KPIs are updated weekly.
  • Ensure operational issues are logged on the relevant system. Customers, Suppliers & Administration
  • Provide day-to-day customer service and keep customers updated when issues arise.
  • Manage third-party suppliers on a day-to-day basis.
  • Complete invoicing in a timely manner.
  • Manage fuel cards and Ad Blue drawdowns.
  • Support departmental and company-wide projects.

Banksman training will be required.
