Overview An outstanding opportunity for an experienced rail and civil engineering Site Manager or Senior Site Manager to join our team in Scotland and playing a key role in the delivery of a portfolio of rail station projects and associated civil engineering works.Business UnitA busy and fast paced project and maintenance environment involving in a range of multi-disciplinary civil engineering projects working for a varied range of clients including Local Authorities Network Rail and Environmental.Projects can typically include civil engineering works and infrastructure projects such as:Highways & Roads underbridges, overbridges and footbridges, tunnels, flood alleviation & repairs, earthworks & embankments and rail platforms and station infrastructure etc.The Role This position will be embedded in the existing Operational team delivering a portfolio of rail station infrastructure projects located throughout Scotland. As Site Manager you will be directly responsible for the daily management of and ongoing delivery of site-based works around Scotland.Day to day responsibilities include but will not be limited to:Site set up and upkeepDay to day management of all site processes including maintaining accurate records and submitting weekly recordsSupervision of workforce (subcontractors and directly employed)Ordering of materials equipment and small items of plantCarry out site inductions for all site personnel and visitorsCarry out daily white board briefingsCommunicate Work Package Plans Task Briefings Tool Box Talks and Safety Alerts to workforceCarry out routine checks and record information in accordance with company proceduresLiaising with public local council officials and key rail clientsBeing the company site representative and ensuring a positive company image is portrayed at all timesAssisting the project team with change assessments and keeping site records up to dateRequirements To excel in this role you will have previous experience as a Site Manager having worked on civil engineering projects or elements of a multi-disciplinary project in the rail sector.PTSSSSTS / SMSTSExperience as a Site Manager in a rail contracting environmentExperience in rail working on civil engineering associated projectsThe Company Why AmcoGiffenYou will be joining a reputable and firmly established engineering contractor operating nationally in rail civils and engineering markets.
