Pay rates:

• Paramedic (Self-Employed) Days – £26.50
• Paramedic (Self-Employed) Nights and Weekends – £28.00

Responsibilities:

• Work as part of a team with an Emergency Medical Technician or an Emergency Care Assistant.
• Mentor staff such as Newly Qualified Paramedics, Emergency Medical Technicians, and Emergency Care Assistants.
• Provide lifesaving treatment, stabilize patients, and prepare them for transport.
• Use your knowledge and skills to make judgments and provide treatment within your training and competency levels.
• Respond safely and efficiently to operational requirements as directed by the Emergency Operations Centre.
• Drive approved ambulance vehicles under normal and emergency conditions in accordance with road traffic laws.

Role requirements:

• Hold a UK manual ‘Category B’ driving license for at least 1 year with no more than 6 points and be over 23 years old (for insurance purposes).
• Hold a paramedic qualification, be on the HCPC register, and hold an emergency driving qualification.
• Maintain physical fitness for manual handling and CPR, and have a warm, caring personality.
• Provide quality references covering the last three years and pass an enhanced DBS check.
