Emergency Medical Technician – Self Employed – Watford
Pay: Day Shift – £23.85, Nights & Weekend Shifts – £29.00

ACP are proud to be an established private ambulance provider with a deeply rooted history of supporting the NHS. We assess, care, treat and transport hundreds of patients in urgent and emergency situations every day.
What will you be doing:
- You will be working as part of a team with either a Paramedic or an Emergency Care Assistant.
- Providing lifesaving treatment and stabilizing patients preparing them for transporting.
- Using your own appropriate knowledge and skills to make judgements and treatment following your level of training and competency.
- Responding to operational requirements in a safe and efficient way as directed by the Emergency Control Centre.
- Driving all types of approved Ambulance Service vehicles under normal and emergency (blue light) conditions in accordance with road traffic law.
Role Requirements:
- Hold a UK manual driving license for at least 1 year driving experience and no more than 6 points on your license.
- You will hold a FREC 5, AAP or IHCD Technician qualification and hold an emergency driving qualification.
- Physical fitness is important in this role as there is sometimes a requirement to reach inaccessible patients in a hurry (lots of stairs), manual handling and CPR.
- Have a warm and caring personality with the ability to connect with people.
- Lastly, you will have quality references covering the last three years of employment history and a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.
