Ambrosia Quality Food, a food distribution company, is looking to recruit a HGV Driver Class 2 to join our Drivers team.
As a driver, you will play an important role as part of our team. You will be expected to check your vehicle before the route, deliver all goods in agreement with the related paperwork, receive payments, and build good customer relationships.
Product knowledge is an essential part of your role; you will receive training in this from your team leader and manager to gain the required level of knowledge.
Vehicle checks and maintenance are crucial parts of your job, and you need to report any issues back to your line manager. Upholding road laws and regulations is essential.
Teamwork is an important part of your role, and you will be expected to communicate with your colleagues in all departments in a respectful and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities:- Arrive 10 minutes before shift.
- Deliver all payments from the previous day to the manager on shift.
- Carry out pre-route vehicle checks.
- Check load before departure.
- Good timekeeping.
- Delivery of goods.
- Good customer service.
- Follow planned delivery routes.
- Communicate with the office about any delays.
- Check goods delivered with customer and get signature.
- Receive payments needed and communicate these with the office and on your paperwork at the end of the shift.
- Communicate all route-related information to the transport manager and the office to improve the routes.
- Follow the return instructions regarding the safe keeping of the returned products and the related paperwork.
