Temp Accountant - bilingual German

Job Opportunity: Interim Accounts– West Susses (Immediate Start) We are currently seeking an experienced Accountant to provide temporary cover for a leading manufacturing organisation while a permanent hire is secured. This role is based in Pulborough and involves managing the accounting, transactional processing, and financial reporting for the company’s entity. Key Responsibilities: ✔ Accounts Payable & Receivable – Maintain and process invoices, reconciliations, and fixed asset accounting. ✔ Financial Reporting – Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. ✔ Supplier Payments & Expense Management – Ensure accurate processing, control, and compliance with company policy. ✔ Intercompany Reconciliation – Ensure accurate and documented reconciliation of intercompany accounts. ✔ General Ledger & Variance Analysis – Conduct monthly reviews of financial data. ✔ Stakeholder & Purchasing Coordination – Liaise with internal teams to resolve supplier queries and approve variances. What We’re Looking For: 🔹 Accounting experience in a corporate environment, ideally within manufacturing or a similar sector. 🔹 Strong understanding of financial statements, reconciliations, and compliance. 🔹 Experience working with ERP systems & financial software. 🔹 Fluent in English (German proficiency is a plus but not essential). 🔹 Available immediately for a temporary contract with potential for extension.
