Our client is a well-established boutique tour operator specialising in multi-day, tailor-made Italy itineraries for discerning travellers. Known for delivering custom experiences of exceptional quality, they combine expert destination knowledge with a highly personal approach that keeps clients returning again and again.

As the business continues to grow, they are now seeking a Sales Manager / Italy Tours Lead to step in and take ownership of the sales and booking team — ensuring outstanding client outcomes while driving performance, consistency and continuous improvement across the operation.

  • In this role, you will lead the sales and booking team, taking full ownership of client relationships and day-to-day operations while ensuring every itinerary reflects the exceptional quality the business is known for.
  • Handle requests, itineraries and bookings from travel agents.
  • Produce customised itinerary content and supporting documentation.
  • Book guides, tickets and service providers.
  • Source and book accommodation for clients.
  • Lead, support and develop the sales and booking team.

Minimum five years’ experience in a travel agent or tour operator environment.

  • Previous experience in a similar Italy tour operator role, providing bespoke itineraries for high-level clients including transfers, tours and accommodation.
  • Self-starter who works effectively without close supervision.
  • Flexible with working hours — US-based clients may require contact outside standard UK hours.
  • Fully remote — work from anywhere in the UK.
  • Bonus scheme.

This role requires strong knowledge of Italy and experience designing bespoke Italian itineraries for high-level clients.
