Do you have strong hands-on experience using Amadeus, including fares, ticketing, reissues and queue management? Have you managed flight operations and airline ticketing within a tour operator or travel business, overseeing group allocations, ticket deadlines, schedule changes and airline communications? Are you confident leading and supporting an aviation or ticketing team while maintaining operational accuracy and service standards? Can you manage high-volume workloads, resolve ticketing issues, work closely with product, finance and customer service teams, and continuously improve processes and systems? In this role you will oversee aviation operations, ensuring flights are managed efficiently across all programmes while supporting commercial goals and customer service standards. You will lead the aviation team, manage ticketing and airline changes, and drive improvements to processes and operational controls.

  • Lead and support the Aviation Operations team, managing workloads and service standards
  • Oversee airline ticketing across scheduled and low-cost carriers, including changes and reissues
  • Manage airline capacity, group allocations, and contract deadlines
  • Coordinate airline schedule changes with Product and operational teams
  • Monitor operational systems, queues, and airline communications
  • Support finance with ticketing queries and reconciliation
  • Improve processes through automation, technology, and better workflows
  • Maintain operational reporting and internal controls
  • Work closely with customer-facing teams to support service delivery
  • Represent aviation operations during operational incidents
  • Manage internal staff travel arrangements

Experience Required:

  • Strong working knowledge of Amadeus (essential), including fares, ticketing, and queue management
  • Proven experience handling IT and group airline ticketing within a tour operating or travel environment
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing operational teams
  • Track record of identifying and implementing process improvements and operational efficiencies
  • Solid background in aviation operations with understanding of airline group contracts and tour operator flight processes
  • Experience managing airline schedule changes, queues, and operational flight updates
  • Knowledge of group allocations, deposits, ticket deadlines, and airline contract requirements
  • Experience overseeing ticketing workflows across BSP, airline portals, or third-party aggregators
  • Ability to manage high-volume workloads, reporting, and operational priorities
  • Experience working with finance teams on ticketing queries, reconciliations, or ADM investigations
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident communicator able to build relationships with internal teams, airlines, and external partners
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with the ability to manage operational data
  • Proactive problem solver who questions processes and drives continuous improvement
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, able to work independently, manage competing priorities, and support operational needs during peak periods
