Senior Travel Consultant job in Hertfordshire within the leisure travel industry, offering a competitive salary plus bonus. This is a client-facing role, building lasting relationships, designing bespoke itineraries and supporting the wider team, with flexibility on full-time or part-time hours.

Our client is a well-established travel business known for creating tailor-made journeys for its clients. They pride themselves on building long-term relationships and providing a personalised service that keeps clients coming back. They are now seeking a Senior Travel Consultant to join their team, helping to grow the client base through strong destination knowledge, relationship management and a proactive approach to business development.

In this role, you will build and manage a portfolio of clients, creating bespoke itineraries and providing expert travel advice from first enquiry through to their return home.

  • Build long-term client relationships that generate repeat bookings and referrals
  • Share knowledge and support less experienced members of the team
  • Attend local networking events to help build the client base

Requirements:

  • 2+ years’ experience in a client-facing travel consultant role
  • Strong destination knowledge in one or more specialist areas, e.g. cruise, long haul, skiing or safari
  • Confident using travel booking systems and CRM tools
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Comfortable managing enquiries, itineraries and after-sales support
  • Extensive personal travel experience

Additional Information:

  • Flexible on full-time or part-time hours
  • Office based in Hertfordshire — 3 days a week
  • Competitive salary plus performance-related bonus
  • 28 days annual leave rising to 32 days, plus bank holidays
  • Generous employer pension contribution of 6%, rising to 9%
