Our Customer
Our client is a well-established travel business known for creating tailor-made journeys for its clients. They pride themselves on building long-term relationships and providing a personalised service that keeps clients coming back.
They are now seeking a Senior Travel Consultant to join their team, helping to grow the client base through strong destination knowledge, relationship management and a proactive approach to business development.
The Role
In this role, you will build and manage a portfolio of clients, creating bespoke itineraries and providing expert travel advice from first enquiry through to their return home.
– Design bespoke itineraries tailored to each client’s needs and preferences
– Build long-term client relationships that generate repeat bookings and referrals
– Provide expert destination advice across one or more specialist areas
– Manage enquiries and follow-ups in a timely, organised manner
– Share knowledge and support less experienced members of the team
– Maintain contact with clients before, during and after their trip
– Develop relationships with preferred suppliers to secure the best options for clients
– Identify relevant upselling opportunities, such as transfers and parking
– Keep window displays and marketing materials up to date
– Attend local networking events to help build the client base
Experience Required
– 2+ years’ experience in a client-facing travel consultant role
– Proven ability to build a client base through referrals and repeat business
– Strong destination knowledge in one or more specialist areas, e.g. cruise, long haul, skiing or safari
– Confident using travel booking systems and CRM tools
– Strong communication and relationship-building skills
– Comfortable managing enquiries, itineraries and after-sales support
– Extensive personal travel experience
