We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Team Leader to join our client in Worksop on a permanent basis. You will be working with a team in a well-established manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and mentor the Toolroom team to deliver an efficient and responsive service.
  • Develop the knowledge and cross-functional skills of the team across mould tools, press tools, machining, EDM and bench fitting.
  • Collaborate with Production Supervisors to plan and prioritise daily workloads.
  • Develop and implement a Tooling TPM programme to reduce Toolroom-related downtime within moulding and press operations.
  • Support Engineering teams during new product development by providing tooling expertise and identifying potential manufacturing and processing risks.
  • Lead initiatives to transition press shop operations from riveted to welded contacts, including the implementation of associated tooling and equipment.
  • Utilise CAD and 3D modelling software to design tooling modifications and major repair solutions.
  • Manage internal tooling replacement projects, ensuring compliance with capital expenditure processes.
  • Promote a strong culture of continuous improvement, quality, safety and operational excellence.

About You

You will be a motivated and technically capable leader with a strong background in tooling and manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

  • Higher National Diploma (HND) in Toolmaking, Engineering or equivalent qualification.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a manufacturing supervisory or leadership role.
  • Proven experience within a Toolroom environment supporting moulding and/or press operations.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Extensive knowledge of mould tools, press tools and associated manufacturing processes.
  • Strong understanding of tool, jig and fixture design.
  • Expertise in CAD and 3D CAD software, including tooling design and modification.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of EDM (spark erosion and wire erosion), CNC milling and general toolroom operations.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing technologies and production processes.
  • Effective leadership, coaching and change management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
