We are seeking a skilled and motivated Tool Maker to join our client based in Worksop within the Tool Room team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative environment where quality, precision, and continuous improvement are key. You will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and examination of a wide range of injection mould and metal press tooling, ensuring all work meets company standards and supports production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out fault finding, tool repair, corrections, and modifications
  • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard in line with company quality policies and procedures
  • Interpret and work from CAD drawings to complete tooling tasks
  • Operate authorised machinery and equipment safely and effectively (Milling, Turning, Laser, Lathe)
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping within the department
  • Follow and promote lean manufacturing practices (5S+, documentation, standardised working methods)
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure strong team collaboration
  • Adhere to all health and safety procedures, including company life‑saving rules
  • Participate in training and development as agreed with the Tool Room Team Leader

Requirements

  • Engineering qualification (essential)
  • Previous experience in a tooling, toolmaking, or similar engineering role
  • Ability to read and interpret technical/CAD drawings
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
  • Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
