Join a Growing Team as an Intake Operative
Location: Outskirts of Newark
Must have own transport due to the location. This is a permanent role. Shifts are 4 on 4 off, 6am to 6pm and 6pm to 6am. Salary £13.47ph.
The Role
The Role: Intake Operative
As an Intake Operative, you will play a vital role in the heart of our production process. You’ll be responsible for the smooth and accurate intake of raw materials and packaging, ensuring the mill is continuously and efficiently fed, and working closely with planning and production teams to keep everything running like clockwork.
Responsibilities
- Operate the weighbridge system to weigh in and out all deliveries.
- Unload and intake raw materials and packaging safely, efficiently, and in line with our procedures.
- Use computer systems to check silo capacity and allocate deliveries accurately.
- Carry out intake checks and collect product samples following technical requirements.
- Label and store all deliveries appropriately to maintain traceability and food safety.
- Support stock rotation and ensure packaging is prepared and available for production.
- Assist in batching materials according to recipes and feeding the mill for production.
- Act as Banksman for site traffic (training provided).
- Maintain clean and organised intake and storage areas to GMP and BRC standards.
- Step in to support the Intake Coordinator when required.
Qualifications and Skills
- Forklift Licence – Counterbalance or Reach
- Good level of English and Maths
- Comfortable using computers (Microsoft Office experience preferred)
- A flexible, team-first attitude
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Willingness to learn and grow within the company
