Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 5:00pm

Pay Rate: £28 per hour

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Site Manager with a valid SMSTS certificate to oversee daily site operations in Newark. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise all on-site construction activities.
  • Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and risk assessments.
  • Prepare and review RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements).
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors and direct labour.
  • Monitor project progress against schedules and budgets.
  • Maintain site records, including daily reports and safety documentation.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and senior management.
  • Ensure works are completed to required quality standards and specifications.
  • Identify and resolve site issues promptly and effectively.

Essential Requirements

  • Valid SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certificate.
  • Proven experience as a Site Manager or similar role in construction.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, health & safety legislation and CDM regulations.
  • CSCS Manager Card.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • First Aid at Work (preferred).
