Looking for your next Transport Administration opportunity?

If you already have experience in transport or logistics administration, enjoy working with different systems and want a role where no two days are exactly the same, this could be a great opportunity for you.

We’re recruiting for a Transport Administrator to join a successful and growing FMCG business in Retford on a 12-month FTC, offering a salary of up to £27,500.

And if you're looking to move quickly, even better — interviews are taking place this week, with the business looking to appoint as soon as possible.

Why you’ll enjoy this role

This isn't your typical admin position where you're doing the same task all day.

You'll be right in the middle of the action, coordinating deliveries, speaking with customers and transport providers, tracking orders and making sure everything gets where it needs to be.

You'll be working across two screens and multiple systems, using transport and pallet network portals, internal software and databases throughout the day.

So if you're someone who is naturally confident with IT and actually enjoys getting to grips with different systems, you'll fit right in.

You'll also have plenty of variety — one minute you could be booking a delivery, the next responding to a customer asking for an ETA or chasing a transport provider for an update.

  • What you'll be doing
  • Processing customer orders accurately.
  • Booking deliveries with transport companies, pallet networks and couriers.
  • Using transport portals and various software systems to arrange and track deliveries.
  • Keeping customers updated on delivery times and ETAs.
  • Chasing transport providers and resolving delivery queries.
  • Liaising with customers, hauliers, couriers and internal teams.
  • Inputting and updating information across multiple systems.
  • Supporting the wider sales office team when required.

What we're looking for

The key thing is your transport administration experience.

We're looking for someone who has previously worked in transport, logistics, haulage, distribution or a similar environment and understands how the transport process works.

You'll also be someone who

  • Is highly IT literate and picks up new systems quickly.
  • Has experience using transport or logistics portals.
  • Is comfortable working across two screens and multiple systems.
  • Has excellent attention to detail.
  • Can stay organised when things get busy.
  • Is confident speaking with customers and transport providers.
  • Has good numerical skills.
  • Enjoys a varied, fast-paced working environment.

Experience with pallet networks, couriers, ERP/database systems or Navision would be a real advantage.

  • What you’ll get in return
  • 12-month FTC
  • Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm
  • 20 days' holiday + bank holidays
  • Company pension from commencement
  • Free onsite parking
  • Full training and support
  • Casual working environment
  • The chance to build your experience within a growing FMCG business

Interested?

If you're an experienced Transport Administrator who enjoys working with systems, solving problems and keeping deliveries moving, don't wait around.
