We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing client in the Grantham area for a Quality Assurance Officer to join their production team.
This is a temporary-to-permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to secure a long-term role in a technically advanced and growing environment.
The working hours for this role are Monday to Friday 8am-4.30pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out in-process and final inspections across various manufacturing stages
- Use inspection and measuring equipment to verify dimensional and visual conformity
- Ensure compliance with internal quality procedures and ISO 9001 standards
- Record and report non-conformances; support root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inspection records and quality documentation
- Liaise with production, technical and management teams to resolve quality concerns
- Assist in maintaining calibration schedules and quality control equipment
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in product quality and process efficiency
Requirements
- Previous experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Control role within manufacturing
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems
- Confident using measurement tools (e.g. calipers, micrometers, gauges)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings/specifications
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
- Good communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
