Shifts: 4 on / 4 off, 6:30am-5:30pm
Alternative Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-finish
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Production Supervisor to join a well-established and growing vegetable production business based in Bilsthorpe.
This is a fantastic permanent opportunity for a confident and hands-on supervisor who enjoys leading a team and working in a fast-paced production environment.
You will play a key role in ensuring the production operation runs smoothly, safely and efficiently, while supporting your team to achieve quality, productivity and operational targets.
The Role
As Production Supervisor, you will oversee the day-to-day running of the production area, ensuring your team is working safely, efficiently and to the required standards.
- Supervising and supporting production staff on a daily basis
- Allocating tasks and organising workloads across the team
- Ensuring production targets and deadlines are achieved
- Monitoring productivity and team performance
- Maintaining high standards of quality and food hygiene
- Ensuring all health & safety procedures are followed
- Providing guidance, support and feedback to team members
- Communicating effectively with management and other departments
- Assisting with the resolution of day-to-day production issues
- Ensuring the production area is clean, organised and efficient
- Supporting the wider operation during busy periods
- Taking a hands-on approach and assisting the team when required
About You
We are looking for a reliable, proactive and confident leader who can motivate a team and remain calm under pressure.
Ideally, you will have:
- Previous experience in a Production Supervisor, Team Leader or similar role
- Experience within food production, manufacturing, warehouse or a similar fast-paced environment
- Confidence managing and motivating a team
- Good organisational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and people skills
- A strong understanding of workplace health & safety
- A hands-on approach to work
- The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Good reliability and timekeeping
- A flexible attitude and willingness to get involved
