Production Manager

Are you loooking for progression? A well-established and growing engineering company is seeking a hands-on Production Manager to oversee fabrication operations at their busy manufacturing facility. This is a key role that blends leadership, technical expertise, and a strong on-the-ground presence. You’ll be responsible for managing the production workflow, solving day-to-day issues, mentoring and developing staff, and ensuring high-quality output is delivered to customers on time. Key Responsibilities: * Oversee and coordinate all fabrication work on the shop floor * Lead and support a team of skilled fabricators and production staff * Identify and resolve production issues quickly and effectively * Maintain high standards of quality and timely delivery * Support training and development of shop floor employees * Be ready to step in and carry out hands-on fabrication work if needed Ideal Candidate: * Down-to-earth and approachable with strong leadership skills * Previous experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment * Has worked their way up from the shop floor into a supervisory or managerial role * Comfortable getting stuck in and leading by example * Experience with steel fabrication, welding, CNC, or similar is highly desirable Qualifications & Experience: * Practical fabrication background (e.g. welding, sheet metal, machining) * Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control * Leadership experience in a production setting This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to be more than just a desk-based manager and truly make an impact on production perfo
