Temporary to Permanent
Β£16.27 per hour

The Role
We are recruiting for a Line Leader – Flaking to join a leading food manufacturing business on a temp-to-perm basis. This is a key position, overseeing the flaking line and ensuring production runs smoothly, safely, and to the highest quality standards.

You’ll be responsible for operating automated machinery, completing quality checks, and maintaining excellent GMP and Health & Safety standards. The role requires strong IT skills, problem-solving ability, and a proactive approach in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations on the flaking line to meet production targets.
  • Perform quality checks (gluten, bulk density, moisture, lipase testing).
  • Complete operational logs and computer records accurately.
  • Identify and escalate plant faults to maintenance.
  • Maintain hygiene and environmental cleaning standards.
  • Communicate effectively with QA, warehouse, and other departments.

Skills & Experience

  • GCSEs (Grade C/4 or above) in English and Maths.
  • Good IT skills (Microsoft Word & Excel).
  • Experience in food production/manufacturing desirable.
  • Strong communicator with a proactive, can-do approach.
  • Health & Safety and GMP awareness.
  • Physically fit due to manual handling requirements.
