Are you an experienced FLT Driver / Warehouse Operative looking for your next permanent opportunity? Our client is looking for a reliable, organised and safety-conscious Stores Person (FLT) to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a specialist warehouse environment, with on-the-job training provided and the opportunity to develop your skills.
The successful candidate will play an important role in managing stock, maintaining an organised warehouse and safely handling specialist materials and finished products.
The Role
Working Monday to Thursday 7:45am–4:00pm and Friday 7:45am–2:45pm, you'll be responsible for supporting the day-to-day running of the warehouse and ensuring materials and products are stored, handled and tracked safely and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include:
- Operating an all-terrain forklift to move and transport goods safely around the warehouse
- Managing the storage, handling and movement of materials, consumables and finished products
- Maintaining accurate stock levels and supporting inventory control
- Carrying out stock checks and ensuring inventory records are accurate
- Keeping the warehouse clean, organised and safe
- Ensuring specialist materials are stored and handled in accordance with relevant safety and regulatory requirements
- Supporting the implementation of new inventory management systems and processes
- Helping improve existing warehouse procedures to make storage, stock retrieval and order fulfilment more efficient
- Carrying out regular forklift inspections and ensuring safe operating standards are maintained
What We're Looking For
Ideally, you'll have:
- Previous FLT / warehouse experience
- An all-terrain forklift licence – desirable but not essential, as training will be provided
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to keep a warehouse orderly
- A methodical and detail-oriented approach to stock control and documentation
- Good experience with inventory management and warehouse systems
- A willingness to learn and improve existing processes
