Location: Field-Based – Peterborough/Spalding, visiting sites weekly including Caister, Cambridge, Lincoln, Corby, Kings Lynn, Louth, Grantham, Grimsby, and Spalding
About the Role
Are you passionate about environmental responsibility and customer service? We are looking for a dedicated Environmental Services Technician to manage the safe and compliant discharge of domestic waste across multiple Water Recycling Centres. You’ll travel across the region, ensuring domestic waste is handled efficiently, safely, and in line with environmental regulations. You’ll work closely with customers, tanker drivers, and site teams, playing a vital role in protecting the water recycling network and delivering excellent service.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations at domestic waste import sites
- Conduct site and equipment checks, troubleshoot issues, and maintain high housekeeping standards
- Promote and uphold health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
- Sample and assess waste for compliance, reporting any irregularities
- Provide professional, friendly support to customers and site teams
What We’re Looking For
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Based around the Peterborough area
- Flexible approach to working hours within core business hours
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working outdoors and in operational environments
- Knowledge of wastewater regulations and the sewage industry (desirable)
