We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our client’s team in Nottingham. This role offers an excellent opportunity to support the commercial management of construction projects, ensuring cost efficiency and financial control throughout the project lifecycle. Working closely with project teams, the successful candidate will assist with cost management, reporting, and planning, while ensuring compliance with industry standards and company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with cost management across construction projects
- Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQ)
- Support cost control processes to ensure projects remain within budget
- Contribute to cost planning and financial forecasting
- Assist in the preparation of cost reports and project valuations
- Work closely with project teams to monitor progress and financial performance
- Identify potential risks and support in implementing cost-effective solutions
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and company policies
- Support procurement and tendering activities where required
Skills & Experience
- Strong understanding of cost control, cost management, and cost planning
- Experience preparing and managing Bills of Quantities (BOQ)
- Knowledge of cost reporting and financial tracking
- High level of attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Strong organisational, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and relevant industry software
Qualifications
