This role is for someone who has spent time inside an HR system, not just around it. You’ve done the day-to-day HR work. You understand how data flows in and out of an HRIS, where it breaks down, and where it slows people down. The core data is clean — what’s needed now is someone who can make the system work better for the business, day to day. This is not an HRIS implementation role. It’s about improving what already exists.
What You’ll Be Doing
- In this 12-month maternity cover role, your focus will be on making the HR system more effective and easier to use, including:
- Reviewing how the HRIS is currently used across the business
- Improving workflows so data is entered once, used properly, and reported accurately
- Optimising existing HR modules to support everyday HR activity
- Taking ownership of the recruitment module, ensuring it’s set up and used effectively
- Supporting hiring managers and HR colleagues to use the system correctly
- Identifying gaps, inefficiencies, and workarounds — then fixing them
- Producing clear, usable HR data and reports for managers
- Acting as the link between HR, users, and system providers where needed
What We’re Looking For
- Proven, hands-on experience working with an HRIS in a live HR environment
- Someone who has done: data entry, changes, reporting, troubleshooting
- A strong understanding of HR workflows — joiners, movers, leavers, recruitment, changes
- Experience improving how an HR system is used, not just maintaining it
- Confidence working with HR data, Excel, and system reporting
- Practical mindset — you fix problems rather than redesigning them on paper
- Comfortable explaining system processes to non-HR users
Why This Role Will Suit You
- The data is already clean — your job is to make it useful
- You’ll have ownership to improve how the HRIS is used day to day
- Real, practical HRIS work — not theoretical project management
- A clear, achievable scope where your experience will be visible quickly
- Ideal for someone who knows HR systems from the inside and wants to step into a specialist role
Contract: 12-month fixed-term maternity cover
Start: March 2026
If you’re someone who understands HR systems because you’ve worked in them, improved them, and supported others to use them properly — we want to hear from you.
