Welder Programmer

Salary: Β£12.71 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday
Job Type: Full-Time

We are looking for askilled and motivated Welder Programmer to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with welding experience who also has an interest in, or experience with, programming and operating welding machinery.

The successful candidate will play an important role in producing high-quality components to specification, ensuring work is completed safely, accurately and efficiently.

This is a temp to perm role.

The Role

As a Welder Programmer, you will be responsible for setting up, programming and operating welding equipment, while ensuring all finished products meet the required quality standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Programming and setting welding machinery for production runs.
  • Carrying out MIG/MAG and/or TIG welding as required.
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Setting up welding equipment and selecting the correct settings for different materials and components.
  • Checking finished products for quality, accuracy and consistency.
  • Carrying out basic adjustments and troubleshooting to keep production running smoothly.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.
  • Working closely with colleagues and the production team to meet deadlines and production targets.
  • Following company health and safety procedures at all times.
  • Reporting any quality issues, equipment faults or production concerns promptly.

About You

We are looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking and takes pride in producing high-quality work.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Experience setting up and operating welding machinery, although full training will be given
  • An understanding of welding processes and equipment.
  • The ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
  • Good attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
