Welder / Pipefitter
We're looking for experienced and motivated Welders/Pipefitters to join our clients growing team, delivering high-quality fabrication and pipework solutions across a range of industrial projects.
- Monday to Friday 7am until 5:30pm
- Newark Area
The Role
As a Welder/Pipefitter, you'll be responsible for the fabrication, installation, fitting, and welding of pipework, pressure vessels, structural supports, and associated process equipment.
You'll work on a variety of client projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate, fit, and weld carbon steel and stainless steel pipework and plate.
- Carry out high-integrity welding using GTAW (TIG), MMA (Stick), and MAG (MIG) processes.
- Weld in 1G, 2G, 5G, and 6G positions where required.
- Assemble pipework spools, pressure vessels, pipe supports, and plant pipework.
- Install, modify, and repair pipes, valves, platework, and process equipment.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication details.
- Inspect your own work to ensure it meets quality standards before installation.
- Work safely and effectively both independently and as part of a skilled team.
- Follow all site procedures, permit-to-work systems, and hot work controls.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area.
- Wear and maintain PPE correctly at all times.
- Support colleagues and undertake additional duties as required by the Line Manager.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in pipefitting, fabrication, and welding within an industrial environment.
- Competence in GTAW (TIG), MMA (Stick), and MAG (MIG) welding processes.
- Experience welding carbon steel and stainless steel.
- Skilled in flame cutting, plasma cutting, grinding, and fabrication techniques.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and work to precise specifications.
- Strong commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
- Excellent awareness of health and safety procedures.
- Able to work independently and as part of a professional team.
- Current or previous welding qualifications are preferred.
- Successful completion of a practical weld test as part of the recruitment process.
