We’re growing our Engineering Department and looking for skilled Engineers to join the team. You’ll play a key role in keeping our production lines running safely and efficiently through planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance. This is a great time to get on board as the business is investing heavily in people, equipment, and facilities, and there’s clear room to progress into senior roles such as Team Leader or Supervisor for those who want to step up.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of your workload, delivering maintenance and repairs to a high standard.
- Carry out maintenance arising from audits, work requests, and PPM follow-ups.
- Always apply Health & Safety and Food Safety standards to every task.
- Support your team in meeting departmental KPIs and performance targets.
- Oversee and ensure the safety of any external contractors, and confirm work areas are left clean and tidy.
- Escalate issues promptly and ensure all machinery and equipment meet site standards.
- Manage spare parts and maintain effective stock levels.
- Keep engineering areas clean, organised, and audit-ready.
- Communicate clearly with management and other departments during breakdowns or planned works.
Candidate Requirements
Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 2 & 3 (or equivalent) in mechanical or electrical maintenance
- OR a combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge and skills (including third and fourth year apprentices)
Experience:
- Proven background in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong understanding of plant machinery and equipment repairs
- Excellent organisation and problem-solving skills
- Effective communicator and solid team player
- Confident to challenge constructively and bring ideas for improvement
