Salary: £15.19 per hour
Hours: 36.65 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 5:00pm-1:00am

About the Role

Our client is a well-established manufacturing business and due to continued growth, they are looking for several Hygiene Operatives to join their team.

As a Hygiene Operative, you will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety and hygiene throughout the production facility. Working after production has finished, you will ensure production areas, equipment and machinery are thoroughly cleaned and ready for the next shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning and hygiene duties across production areas in line with company procedures.

• Follow cleaning schedules and Hygiene Instruction Cards to ensure required standards are consistently achieved.

• Clean and maintain production equipment and machinery to a high standard.

• Identify and report any issues that could affect product quality, food safety, hygiene, production or the environment.

• Maintain accurate and clear cleaning and hygiene records.

• Follow all Health & Safety, food safety and company procedures.

• Work closely with Team Leaders and colleagues to identify opportunities to improve hygiene processes.

• Handle cleaning chemicals safely and in accordance with COSHH requirements.

• Support the team in maintaining a safe, clean and efficient working environment.

About You

The successful candidate will be:

• Must have own transport due to location and shift times

• Ideally experienced within food manufacturing or a similar production environment.

• Knowledgeable about food safety, allergen awareness and Health & Safety.

• Familiar with HACCP and/or COSHH procedures, although training can be provided.

• A Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate would be advantageous but is not essential.
