Vehicle Technician

£30,000 - £45,000 per annum (DOE) | Permanent | Nottinghamshire

Ambitions Personnel are currently recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a well-established, reputable independent garage in Nottinghamshire. This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly and professional team where quality workmanship and customer satisfaction are a top priority.

Our client is looking for a skilled and reliable Vehicle Technician who takes pride in their work and is looking to build a long-term career within a busy workshop environment.

Hours

  • Monday to Friday: 7:30am - 4:00pm
  • 1-2 Saturdays per month, depending on business requirements and busy periods.

Salary

  • £30,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience, qualifications and skill set.

The Role

As a Vehicle Technician, your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on a wide range of vehicles.
  • Diagnosing faults using diagnostic equipment and carrying out effective repairs.
  • Completing mechanical, electrical and routine maintenance work to a high standard.
  • Conducting vehicle health checks and identifying any additional repair requirements.
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and in line with manufacturer and workshop standards.
  • Accurately completing job cards and workshop documentation.
  • Working collaboratively with the wider workshop team to ensure excellent customer service and efficient turnaround times.

The Ideal Candidate

To be considered for this role, you will have:

  • A minimum Level 2 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience working as a Vehicle Technician within a garage or workshop environment.
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
  • Good mechanical knowledge across a variety of vehicle makes and models.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A full UK driving licence.
