Electrician – Nationwide

Base: Mansfield, Nottinghamshire
Work Location: Nationwide – regular travel required
Pay Rate: £25.00 – £28.00 per hour, depending on experience
Overtime: Time and a half after 8 hours on site
Overnight Allowance: £150 per night
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Hours: Full-time

Ambitions Personnel are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrician to join our client on a temporary-to-permanent basis.

The role is based from Mansfield, with work taking place on projects across the UK, so the successful candidate must be comfortable travelling and staying away from home when required.

This is a great opportunity for an electrician looking for a long-term position with a nationwide company, offering the chance to work on a variety of commercial projects across different locations.

The Role

As an Electrician, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of electrical installation and associated works on nationwide projects.

Duties will include:

1st and 2nd fix electrical installation.
General commercial electrical work.
Installation, connection and testing of electrical systems and equipment.
Working from drawings, specifications and site instructions.
Working alongside other trades and site personnel.
Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
Carrying out electrical work in accordance with relevant regulations and procedures.
Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Travelling to sites across the UK.
Working away from home when required.

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

Previous experience working as a qualified electrician.
Commercial electrical installation experience.
Experience with 1st and 2nd fix electrical work.
Relevant electrical qualifications.
18th Edition qualification.
JIB / ECS Gold Card would be advantageous.
A good understanding of electrical health and safety requirements.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A reliable and professional approach to work.
A full UK driving licence.
Flexibility and willingness to travel nationwide.
Ability to stay away from home when required.

Pay & Benefits

£25.00 – £28.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Time and a half after 8 hours on site.
£150 overnight allowance when staying away from home.
Candidates will be responsible for arranging their own accommodation using the overnight allowance.
Full-time hours.
