We are working with a growing SME in the Grantham area who are entering an exciting phase of change and investment within their finance function. At present, the business relies on external accountants to produce quarterly financial information. However, they are now in a position to bring monthly management accounts fully in-house, and this hire will play a pivotal role in making that happen. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Management Accountant who wants to build a reporting function from the ground up, develop robust financial processes, and play a key role in shaping how finance supports the wider business. Alongside this, the business is also implementing a new ERP system, meaning you will be closely involved in developing and improving finance processes, reporting structures and data integrity as part of this transition.

The Role

This is a hands-on Management Accountant position reporting directly to the Director. You will take ownership of monthly management accounts and help establish a structured, insightful and commercially focused reporting function. You will also manage and develop a Finance Administration Assistant who supports payroll, credit control and day-to-day finance operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Production and ownership of monthly management accounts
  • Transition reporting from quarterly external accounts to in-house monthly reporting
  • Development of budgeting and forecasting
