Working Pattern
You’ll follow a 3‑week rotating schedule:
- Week 1: 6:00 am – 2:00 pm
- Week 2: 6:00 am – 2:00 pm
- Week 3: 10:00 am – 6:00 pm
Flexible Part‑Time Options
- 2 days per week (16 hours), or
- Up to 50% hours (5 days across a 2‑week period), depending on your preference and business needs
On‑Call Commitment (Key to the Role)
- 1 full week on‑call in every 3‑week cycle (Week 3)
- Coverage includes evenings, nights, weekends, and bank holidays (where applicable)
- Receive a weekly on‑call allowance (paid in addition to your salary)
- Extra payments for any call‑outs or site attendance
What You’ll Be Doing
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and quickly resolving breakdowns
- Diagnosing faults across mechanical and electrical systems
- Keeping production and site equipment running at peak performance
- Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, and GMP compliance
- Completing maintenance records and following safe working procedures
- Working closely with production and engineering teams to keep operations on track
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Previous maintenance experience in food manufacturing, FMCG, or a similar environment
- Strong multi‑skilled ability (mechanical and electrical fault finding)
- Solid understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
- A flexible, reliable approach—especially when it comes to on‑call responsibilities
Desirable
- Engineering qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent)
