Days Maintenance Engineer – Mechanical (CNC Specialist)
Role Overview:
We’re looking for a hands on Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with solid experience working on CNC machinery. You’ll take ownership of keeping the precision engineering equipment running at peak performance, tackling breakdowns, refurbishments, and preventative maintenance with a cool head and strong technical know how.
Working:
Key Responsibilities:
Provide mechanical maintenance and repair to a range of CNC and specialist production machinery .
Carry out mechanical repairs on gearboxes, bearings, shafts, drive chains, pumps, and tanks.
Diagnose and fix faults quickly and efficiently to minimise downtime.
Lead or assist in major refurbishments and overhauls of plant and machinery.
Perform PLC fault finding and interrogation (Fanuc and Siemens).
Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities across multiple sites.
Ensure all work complies with health, safety, and legal requirements .
Be flexible to support maintenance needs across all Leicester sites .
Essential Experience & Qualifications:
HNC (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering .
Hands on CNC machine maintenance and fault-finding experience
Strong working knowledge of Fanuc and Siemens controls .
