Are you an experienced Health & Safety professional looking for a hands-on role where you can influence standards, drive improvement and work closely with managers across a multi-site organisation? We are recruiting for a Health & Safety Coordinator to provide professional advice and support across the organisation, helping to strengthen compliance and develop a positive health and safety culture.
The Role
- Providing health and safety advice and guidance to managers and employees
- Supporting a wider health & safety improvement programme
- Developing and maintaining policies, procedures and management systems
- Supporting ISO 45001 implementation and continuous improvement
- Monitoring legislation and ensuring compliance
- Supporting risk assessments, safe working practices and incident management
- Conducting audits and inspections and managing corrective action plans
- Identifying and coordinating health and safety training
- Working with HR and managers on individual risk assessments and safe working practices
- Building effective relationships with site teams, contractors and other stakeholders
- Promoting a proactive and positive safety culture
About You
- IOSH Level 2 or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practice
- Experience with risk assessments, audits and incident management
- Knowledge of ISO 45001 or similar management systems
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving and organisational abilities
- A proactive, resilient and commercially aware approach
- Good IT skills and strong attention to detail
Location & Travel
This is a multi-site role, so regular travel will be required. You should be comfortable working across different operational locations and engaging with teams at all levels.
