Stock & Procurement Administrator
Location: Outskirts of Newark
Hours: 26 hours per week, with the potential to increase to full-time
Salary: Β£29,000 pro rata, depending on hours
About the Role
We are working with an established and successful business to recruit a Stock & Procurement Administrator to join their busy yard-based operation.
This is a newly evolving position following a recent resignation and an ongoing period of business restructuring. As a result, this is a great opportunity for someone to come into the business and make the role their own, with the potential for the position to develop and increase to full-time.
The role will sit across stock administration, procurement and finance support, working closely with the yard team and the London-based Finance team.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing and maintaining accurate stock records.
- Reconciling stock systems against finance platforms and investigating discrepancies.
- Raising and processing purchase orders.
- Supporting general procurement and purchasing activities.
- Checking, processing and receipting incoming goods.
- Monitoring stock movements and ensuring systems remain accurate and up to date.
- Liaising with suppliers and internal departments.
- Working closely with the London Finance team around asset management.
- Supporting with finance-related administration and queries.
- Identifying issues and taking ownership of finding practical solutions.
- Assisting with improving processes and procedures as the role develops.
About You
We're looking for someone who is proactive, confident and solutions-focused.
This is a role where you'll need to be comfortable using your own initiative. Rather than waiting for someone to tell you what to do, you'll naturally look at a problem, work out what needs to happen and get on with it.
You may come from a background in stock control, procurement, purchasing, administration, finance administration, logistics or a similar environment.
We're particularly interested in candidates who demonstrate:
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Confidence working independently.
- A practical, can-do approach.
- The ability to investigate discrepancies and resolve problems.
- Good communication skills and the confidence to liaise with different teams.
- The ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload.
- Resilience and the ability to remain calm when things get busy.
- A good sense of humour and the ability to work well within a lively, fast-paced team.
