The role is currently part-time, but there is genuine potential for the hours to increase in the future as the business grows and develops.
If you're an organised, confident all-rounder with exceptional attention to detail, this could be a great opportunity to join a business where you won't simply be given a list of tasks and left doing the same thing every day.
This is a role where you'll be given a high level of autonomy, trusted to manage your workload and encouraged to identify better ways of doing things.
And importantly, the role can grow with you.
As the business develops, there will be opportunities to take on wider responsibilities, increase your hours and progress within the business β whether that's something you actively want now or something you'd like to work towards in the future.
This is a true all-rounder position, so you'll need to enjoy variety and be someone who naturally spots what needs doing.
- Managing and maintaining accurate stock records
- Carrying out stock counts and investigating discrepancies
- Supporting asset management and maintaining accurate records
- Monitoring asset values and depreciation
- Supporting the disposal and resale of equipment/materials
- Maintaining clear and accurate audit trails and paperwork
- Providing finance and general administration support
- Supporting quality control and HSE administration
- Managing tasks and ensuring actions are followed through
- Producing and maintaining Excel reports
- Supporting the wider team with administrative and operational requirements
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and suggesting better ways of working
- Taking on additional duties as the role develops
Although you'll be based at the Long Bennington site, you'll also work closely with colleagues based elsewhere in the business.
You must be confident communicating with colleagues over Microsoft Teams, joining meetings, asking questions, sharing information and speaking up when required.
You don't need to be the loudest person in the room β but you do need to be confident, professional and comfortable communicating with people you've never met face-to-face.
The business uses NetSuite as its finance system, but you don't need previous NetSuite experience.
What is essential is that you're:
- Confident using ERP systems and different computer software
- Comfortable working with Excel
- Quick to learn new systems
- Naturally organised and methodical
- Exceptionally accurate and detail-focused
- Someone who checks their work and takes pride in getting things right
You need to be the type of person who notices when something doesn't look right, investigates it and makes sure the records are accurate.
The Long Bennington site is an operational environment with workers and labourers coming and going, so you'll need to be comfortable around different personalities, different working styles and a busy atmosphere.
There can be plenty of banter and strong personalities, particularly when things get busy.
We're therefore looking for someone who is confident, resilient and down-to-earth β someone who won't be easily phased by the environment and can get on with people at all levels.
The key thing is that there isn't a rigid ceiling on this role β if you want to develop, take on more and increase your hours, there is scope for you to do exactly that.
If you're looking for a role where you're trusted, valued, given autonomy and have the opportunity to build something around your own strengths, we'd love to hear from you.
