We are looking to find someone to join our accounts team on a temporary basis to provide maternity leave cover. The role involves:

  • Full management of purchase ledger, including full process of booking of invoices, getting authorities etc.
  • Organising monthly supplier payments runs and managing ad-hoc payments
  • Supplier statement reconciliation and query management
  • Creation and processing of purchase orders and month end GRNI creation
  • Bank reconciliation and processing of bank movements including FX booking
  • Sales and purchase ledger reconciliation
  • Cost data analysis
  • Petty Cash reconciliation
  • Maintaining stock lists for quarterly stock takes
  • Updating various month end reporting documents, including H&S, utility data, sales and sector data, etc.
  • Providing data to credit management company
  • Raising and reviewing and presenting Aged Debtor information to management team
  • Good understanding of accounting principles and the month end closing process (B/S Reconciliations, Intercompany reconciliations, accruals, etc.)
  • Answer incoming calls
  • Investigate, resolve and answer general queries
  • Keep internal supplier list and records up to date with certificates and questionnaires.

Ad hoc Tasks:

  • Filing/scanning/email management
  • Import and Export administration
  • Any other tasks that may arise along the accounting cycle
  • Cover other team member's roles during holidays
  • Other ad-hoc supporting duties for the Financial Controller.

Experience Required:

  • SAP Experience needed but training provided, high standard of Microsoft Excel skills with experience in VLOOKUP's, pivot tables formulas etc.
  • Have a drive to automate processes wherever possible
  • Able to work independently and with a small team within an office environment
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet core business deadlines

You would be part of a small, vibrant team, be given extensive training and supported on a daily basis.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary, maternity cover. Contract length: 6-12 months. Expected hours: 37.5 per week.
