A leading international manufacturing and infrastructure solutions business is seeking an experienced Dispatch Coordinator to join its growing operations team in Tallington. The Role
Reporting to the Logistics Supervisor, the Dispatch Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient dispatch of finished goods from site. You will coordinate transport, manage dispatch documentation, liaise with internal departments and external hauliers, and ensure customer deliveries are completed accurately and on time. This is a fast-paced position requiring excellent organisational skills, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate all daily dispatch activities from the Tallington site
- Manage and control customer orders through the ERP system
- Release orders for picking, packing, and dispatch at the appropriate time
- Plan and book transport through haulier portals
- Generate purchase orders to support haulier payments
- Prepare and manage dispatch and export documentation, including commercial invoices
- Maintain accurate ERP data and ensure compliance with internal processes
- Liaise closely with warehouse, operations, sales, customer service, and transport providers
- Support operational flow to ensure on-time, in-full customer deliveries
- Ensure SOX and company compliance procedures are followed at all times
- Provide administrative support across site operations where required
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will have previous experience within dispatch, logistics, warehouse coordination, or supply chain operations, ideally gained within a manufacturing environment. You will also demonstrate:
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Confident communication skills across all levels
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel
- Experience using ERP systems such as Epicor (desirable)
- Knowledge of transport and export documentation (desirable)
- A proactive and resilient approach to problem-solving
- A Counterbalance FLT License would be a bonus but is not essential
- Previous experience in manufacturing/production dispatch would be useful.
