We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Warehouse Operative/Forklift driver. You will play a vital role in managing the safe and efficient movement of stock within the warehouse.
Working hours: Monday to Friday 8.00am - 4.00pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Loading & Unloading: Using a Counterbalance Forklift to safely load and unload vehicles, ensuring all material is secured correctly and processed accurately. Assembling customer orders and completing the relevant paperwork.
- Stock Management: Store stock correctly and ensure the yard remains organised, tidy, and safe.
- Manual Handling: Ability to carry out manual work in line with established manual handling procedures.
- Maintenance & Safety: Keep all equipment in good working order, reporting any issues or faults immediately. Work strictly in accordance with all Works and Health and Safety procedures at all times.
- Safety Awareness: A strong awareness of safe vehicle loading and Health & Safety procedures.
The suitable candidate will hold a current Counterbalance Forklift licence. A Reach Forklift licence is desirable, however not essential. This role would suit candidates who have worked as a Warehouse Operative, Forklift Driver, Food Production.
